Drinking Maturity

A wines ability to improve with age is a major factor when critics award a score and therefore wines achieving the highest scores often have the longest drinking window. As wines reach maturity and are consumed, the inelastic supply can dwindle rapidly making the wine increasingly rare and pushing the price it will command upwards.

Wilson Douglas select wines that are approaching drinking maturity, traditionally a period when exceptional vintages i.e. those with the highest score, display a period of accelerated growth.
